Last year was a lot of fun and a huge success for Ride with Pride - we raised $1,300 for our program. Thank you, Borderline Bar & Grill for your support!

Our Events for 2011...
KECSA - Kiwanis Equestrian Competition for Special Athletes, October 16 Hansen Dam
We attended our second horse show in October at the 18th Annual KECSA event at Hansen Dam. Our riders brought home many first place, second place, third & fourth place awards. Our rider, Julie Rivas, was awarded the Most Inspirational Rider prize. A good time was had by all - riders, instructors, volunteers and our wonderful four-legged friends! Thank you Kiwanis for providing a well organized and excellent forum for our riders.
Eating, drinking, dancing, bidding at the silent auction and just hanging out with friends was the venue at Concert of the Canyon held at Browns Canyon Ranch amongst the sycamores on October 1st. Thank you DooWah Riders for an amazing concert! You rock!!! Thank you also to Kiwanis and Chatsworth High Key Club for providing hamburgers and hotdogs. Road Apple Bingo with Pebbles and Sugar Bear as our stars was a great success! Thank you all for your support in helping make this event our most successful fundraiser in 2011!

Our second annual Open House was on Saturday, June 18th. Many people came and celebrated the beginning of our second year. Our new viewing area provided a comfortable spot for all who watched the demonstrations by our riders, instructors and volunteers. A good time was had by all. Thank you everyone for your support and good wishes!
Our May restaurant fundraiser was May 25th, at El Torito, Woodland Hills. It was well supported and a great time was had by all. Thank you, El Torito, Woodland Hills!
CALNET - Los Angeles Equestrian Center, May 14th & 15th 2011
CALNET is a horse show for riders with disabilities, presented for the California Network for Theraputic Riding. Our riders brought home one All Points ribbon, seven first place awards, six second places, two third places, a fifth and a seventh. We were represented by five riders and four of our horses. A good time was had by all - riders, instructors, volunteers and our wonderful four-legged friends! Thank you all for giving so much time and support. We couldn't do it without you! Thank you to Clem Oposcolo for his work at the Ride with Pride facility in keeping our horses supple and healthy with his equine bodywork.
Our second restaurant fundraiser was at Mimi's Cafe in Chatsworth on Wednesday, March 16th. We received about $200. Thank you, Mimi's Cafe!
Our first event for 2011 was a fundraiser on Saturday, February 12th, dinner and dancing at Borderline. This was a lot of fun and a huge success for Ride with Pride by raising $1,300. Thank you, Borderline Bar & Grill for your support!

Chatsworth Holiday Parade and Festival, December 12th Chatsworth, CA
Ride with Pride was a contestant at the Annual Chatsworth Holiday Parade - took no prize but all had a wonderful time alongside our fellow Chatsworth businesses and other friends.
Concert in the Canyon, October 2nd Browns Canyon Ranch

Volunteer Picnic, Saturday, July 17th
A great time was had by all at this year's Volunteer's Day Party graciously hosted by Mike and Mary Murphy.
Open House, July 10th Browns Canyon Ranch
On Saturday July 10th we hosted our first Open House. It was well attended with over 200 supporters present. The ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Millie Jones, from Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonvich's office, and Bonnie Lallouz and Rhana Ghadban both from the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce. It was a beautiful day and a special one in the history of Ride with Pride!
All proceeds from these events will support the programs at Ride with Pride .
