Visitors
Everyone who becomes a part of Ride with Pride discovers a place of achievement, an environment of learning and a source of cherished friendships.
Begun in 2010 with one horse, three riders and a group of volunteers with a strong vision for Ride with Pride, we now have six wonderful therapy horses, 14 riders, and an active group of 60 volunteers. We are nestled in Browns Canyon Ranch which is a beautifully situated area of 13 acres of grassland, canyons, California oaks and sycamores.
OUR RIDERS
Riders of all ages come to us with diverse backgrounds and ability levels. Whether they have physical, cognitive, sensory or emotional disabilities, they benefit from riding, driving or working with the horses at our center.
HOW HORSES MAKE A DIFFERENCE
For children and adults with disabilities, the equestrian experience is life changing. The horse's soothing rhythm, strength, warmth, and three-dimensional movement pattern provide healthy exercise while improving circulation and muscle tone. The discipline associated with working with horses and the social interactions between peers benefit the mind and spirit while raising self-esteem and increasing self-sufficiency through accomplishment, The unconditional love of the horses has been proved to reduce anxiety, encourage interaction, and offer a haven where riders can feel a sense of empowerment.
At Ride with Pride these thing happen every day. It's a special place where riders of all ages benefit physically, cognitively and emotionally from a wide variety of horse experiences tailored to their needs by a trained team of horses, instructors and volunteers.
YOU CAN HELP
We encourage your involvement as a student, volunteer or donor. Our programs could not function without the tremendous commitment of hundreds of supporters who facilitate our efforts in so many ways. We need your unique interests and talents at Ride with Pride!
"I don't know who has benefited more from my work at Ride with Pride - the riders or me." - VolunteerOUR PROGRAMS
